Mr. Hiwot Digafe is Assistant professor in the department of Physics, in the college of Natural sciences, in Jimma University. Hiwot received his B.Sc in Physics from Addis Ababa University and he has got two masters degree in sustainable energy engineering from Jimma University and Polymer science from Addis Ababa University. He has been lecturing courses and conducting a research with the staffs and postgraduate students for the last fourteen years. Hiwot’s teaching interest includes sustainable energy sources, solid state physics, and energy software’s. He has published different articles such as Life Cycle Exergy Analysis and Energy Conservation. His primary research interests are in the field of renewable energy, energy technology and energy conservation methods. Specifically he is interested on life cycle exergy analysis on Microgrids, Evaluation of sustainability of power plants, and energy conservation. Hiwot, together with his family, live in Jimma Town, Ethiopia. In his free time, he plays basketball, and practices new software, and explores the remote area of the city.
